The Desire Green Wall was executed in 2019 in the Daryush Building, located in the Niavaran area of Tehran. The green wall consists of 8 panels, with 4 panels installed in the pool hall and 4 panels in the gym. The system used is a hydroponic green wall, which allows the plants to grow without soil, using only nutrient solutions.
All gutters and containers are made from 304 stainless steel sheets, and the lighting system is designed with special lamps capable of facilitating photosynthesis in the plants. This lighting system not only adds to the visual beauty of the green wall but also contributes to the health of the plants.
Ms. Desiree Tay Maser, the client of the project who immigrated from the United States, placed great emphasis on the care and maintenance of the plants. She even changed the location of the installation for easier maintenance and was meticulous about the planting design.
This project posed a significant challenge because many clients believe that building a green wall next to a pool is unfeasible due to the moisture and temperature conditions. However, the Desire Green Wall overcame these challenges and was successfully installed in the space. Not only did this green wall enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area, but it also evoked the feeling of being immersed in nature.
Benefits of this Project:
- Creating Green Spaces in Unique Environments: Even in moist spaces like a pool, the green wall was successfully installed.
- Specialized Lighting for Plant Photosynthesis: The lighting system optimizes photosynthesis for the plants.
- Detailed Design and Attention to Detail: The planting design and installation location were customized with precision and care.
