The Nikkarizi Green Wall project was implemented in the terrace of a residence located in Shahrak-e-Gharb, Tehran. This project was designed to create a pleasant green space and improve the quality of the living environment. The use of the hydroponic green wall system enabled the planting of greenery in a vertical space, transforming the terrace into a lively, green area. The system provides the plants with water and nutrients in a closed-loop system, eliminating the need for soil.
With a dimension of 6.32 m², the green wall effectively utilizes the available terrace space and adds a visually attractive and natural ambiance to the area.
Challenges and Solutions:
- Challenge: Limited space on the terrace and the need for efficient use of space to create a functional green area.
- Solution: The use of the hydroponic green wall system, which optimizes the vertical space and allows plants to grow without the need for large horizontal areas.
Project Benefits:
- Aesthetic and Relaxing Green Space: The green wall adds beauty to the terrace, creating a peaceful and calming environment in the home.
- Improved Air Quality: The plants in the green wall help purify the air, enhancing the overall air quality inside the house.
- Water Conservation: The hydroponic system reduces water consumption and contributes to the conservation of natural resources.
This project demonstrates how even limited spaces like terraces can be transformed into vibrant green areas using modern hydroponic systems, improving the aesthetic and environmental quality of a home.
